Our membership (over 50 members strong) comes from a variety of university institutions, private sector companies, and government agencies across the Greater St. Louis area (e.g., Scott Air Force Base, Saint Louis University, University of Missouri, Lindenwood College, National Weather Service, and local television stations).  We hold bi-monthly dinner meetings every third or fourth Thursday of each month.  Dues are $10.00 for memberships (Student memberships $5.00).  At the meetings we feature guest speakers (locally or from out of town) who will speak on an interesting or informative meteorological topic. New members are always welcome.  A member need not be affiliated with the field of meteorology in any direct way.  If you would like to become a member, simply show up at a scheduled meeting.  Membership is not required to attend seminars, but is appreciated to help defray costs. The St. Louis AMS officers are working with Saint Louis University faculty, the National Weather Service, and various other institutions to put together a lineup of high quality speakers for the 2008-2009 year.  Check this page often for updates.
