Dr. Charles Graves
Charles "Chuck" Graves (Ph.D. Iowa State University, 1988) has spent the last 18 years
working closely with the National Weather Service on identifying high impact weather
events. He has been an invited speaker to numerous National Weather Service
training seminars and has published in several meteorological journals. He and former
Ph.D. student, Chad Gravelle, were awarded the T. Theodore Fujita Research Achievement
Award from the National Weather Association in 2012. He is currently the undergraduate
coordinator for the meteorology program and before that was the graduate coordinator.
He has served as a councilor for the National Weather Association and president of the local
chapter of the American Meteorological Society. He lives in Webster Groves with his wife, Kay.
