CIPS Extended Analog Guidance
Extended Analog Guidance uses the top 5 analogs from each GEFS member (20 members and control) that results in guidance based on 105 most similar analogs.
Currently, the GEFS forecasts for three 3-day periods centered on days 7, 10, and 13 are being used.
If an analog is one of the most similar to more than one GEFS member, that analog will be used (i.e., weighted) that many times.
The extended analogs are now a blend of the EAST and WEST domains. The combined results are presented as single images.
