Required Courses:

The following 20 hours in Geology and Geophysics are required of all majors:

EAS-A101/102 Earth Systems I with Lab 4
EAS-A220/221 Mineralogy with Lab 4
EAS-A405 Petrology 3
EAS-A430/431 Structural Geology with Lab 4
EAS-A451/452 Principles of Seismic Exploration with Lab 3
EAS-A455 Principles of Gravity and Magnetic Exploration 4
EAS-A460  Introduction to the Physics of the Solid Earth  3

Mathematics through MT-A351 Differential Equations plus MT-A315 Introduction to Linear Algebra or approved upper division course

8 hours of Physics (PH-A151 through 154)

Additional requirements for the theoretical option are EAS-A462 Introduction to Earthquake Seismology and PH-A311 Classical Mechanics.  An additional requirement for the applied option is EAS-A453 Principles of Electrical Exploration.

Minimum Credits for Graduation:  120
