This photo was taken at sunset from Kwajalein Island during NASA's Kwajex
experiment. The experiment made use of airplane, satellite, radar, and radiosonde
data in an effort to understand cloud microphysics in the Tropics. This experiment
was conducted from July through September of 1999. Kwajalein is located near
the equator in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and is part of the Marshall Islands.
