I have been a meteorologist and faculty member at Saint Louis University for over thirty years and I have enjoyed every minute. One of the best parts of being a research meteorologist is being able to participate in research field experiments. One of the exciting aspects of these field experiments is that they are in just about every part of the world you can think of to collect data. If you click on one of the field campaigns names above it will take you to a page with a short description and pictures from the field campaign.
Another aspect of my research is the creation and management of the Missouri Mesonet. In cooperation with AmerenUE Saint Louis University has constructed a mesoscale meteorological network to provide improved forecasts for metropolitan Saint Louis area. Clicking on the link above leads to the forecasts
One of the best parts of being a faculty member of Saint Louis University is teaching non-major courses. Even though I am senior faculty member I choose to teach introductory meteorology because I enjoy teaching and watching students grow. Clicking on the course links above lead you to pages for each course.
