Syllabus
Earth's interior structures, free oscillation of the
Earth, normal mode theory, computing thoretical seismogram for spherical
earth models. See details in schedule.

Grading
Grades will be based 40% on homework (~5 sets), 20% on mid-term exam
and 40% on term paper. Discussions and collaboration for homework
assignments among students are encouraged. But the answers you turn in
must be your own work.
Plagiarism and Cheating
Saint Louis University has a clear policy of discouraging and punishing
cases where students have been found to be cheating on assignments and
exams. Plagiarism, or the un-referenced use or quotation of material not
originating from the student author, is likewise a punishable offense.
