Class Hours
Tuesday 1:10-3:00 pm, MW 342 and other locations

Textbooks
No textbook is necessary. A variety of photocopied examples and other readings will be supplied throughout the course.

Class Format
A combination of class presentations (lectures) and practical discussions. Students will be expected to attend every week. Where possible labs will be posted on the EAS webpage. 

Evaluation
Students will be evaluated on Lab Exercises (Assignments); there will be no formal examinations.

• PSI-PLOT - scientific graphs

Part III - Unix based programs

• Matlab - scientific programming package
• GMT - plotting geographic data sets
