Earthquake Information for DOS Machines

These files can be transferred to any machine. However, they are to be used on a DOS machine. The text and Postscript files use the DOS CR/NL convention for terminating a line. The 'zip' and 'exe' files are binary images to be used on a DOS machine.
You may need to set your software to load files to disk first. Otherwise they will be unzipped (?) by the DOS Mosaic

epic.zip (Image) 12/03/94, 141423 bytes.
Regional Seismic Network Catalog for New Madrid, 1975-1994, This 'zip' file expands into the files epic.d (603578 bytes) (the catalog) and README.epi (3276 bytes) which describes the format of the data epic.exe (Image) 11/23/94 (156772 bytes) is a self extracting 'zip' file version of epic.zip that does not require the use of the program pkunzip. Entering 'epic.exe' will create the two files just mentioned in the current directory.

nuttli.zip (Image) 11/23/94, 25171 bytes.
Catalog of Central US Earthquakes, 1810-1980, This 'zip' file expands into the files nuttli.d (113955 bytes) (the catalog) and README.nut (9284 bytes) which describes the format of the data nuttli.exe (Image) (40520 bytes) is a self extracting 'zip' file that does not require the use of the program pkunzip. Entering 'nuttli.exe' will create the two files just mentioned in the current directory.

catalog.zip (image) 11/23/94, 121870 bytes.
Postscript file giving a 31 page document describing the earthquake catalogs and an PC computer display. This 'zip' file expands into the file catalog.ps (1454730 bytes) catalog.exe (Image) 11/23/94, 137219 bytes, is a self extracting 'zip' file version of catalog.zip that does not require the use of the program pkunzip. Entering 'epic.exe' will create the two files just mentioned in the current directory. 11/23/94 (137219 bytes)

display.zip (image) 11/23/94, 184295 bytes.
Computer display of Historical (1810-1980) and regional seismic network catalogs (1975-1994), This 'zip' file expands in to the files gom.bat (793 bytes), plotpc.exe (60912 bytes), cus1800.cal (102 bytes), nm1975.cal (99 bytes), nm1800.cal (99 bytes), readme.pc (3621 bytes), plotnutt.d (62540 bytes), plotepic.dd (209287 bytes), plotepic.d (285834 bytes), plotnutt.all (146307 bytes), and test4esc.com (20 bytes). The display works with Hercules, CGA, EGA and VGA graphics adapters. The user must know which display adapter is installed on the PC and must set an environment parameter. This is described in the file . display.exe (Image) (199644 bytes) is a self extracting 'zip' file that does not require the use of the program pkunzip.
